Four Different Roto Desk Calendars on African Themes

Four Different Roto Desk Calendars on African Themes

These spiral-bound roto desk calendars are approximately 3″ x 4″ in size and each calendar day features an African proverb on the designated theme of the calendar. They are not year-specific so the calendars can be used year after year. It features a cardboard “stand” that enables it to be set in an upright position on a desk/table.

There are now four different calendars on four different themes:

                        · African Wisdom on Leadership

· African Wisdom for Life

· African Wisdom on War and Peace

· African Wisdom on Water

An example of African Proverbs introducing the calendar on “War and Peace” are:

A proverb is a horse which can carry one swiftly to the discovery of ideas (Nigeria)
Proverbs are big messages in small words (Kenya)
When the occasion comes, the proverb comes.

Some sample proverbs from the calendar on “War and Peace” by date are:

March 2: To pull the hand out of the hole is to relax the fist (Uganda)
March 18: War is not good for anyone (Kenya)
April 3: A stone is never small (Ethiopia)
April 17: A wise person who knows proverbs reconciles difficulties (Nigeria)
