============================================================

In Cairo, Egypt, I visited Maryknoll Brother Robert Butsch who makes special
shoes for persons with Hansen’s disease. I greeted a young mother suffering from
the disease. Sitting with her baby in the shade of a tree, she responded in
Arabic, "You people have brought light to this place." When you think about it,
that’s exactly what Our Lord intended us to do.
