============================================================

    One of the best schoolboys in Nyabihanga Village in
Rulenge was involved in a case with a man from another part of Tanzania.  The
man said his father was a powerful witchdoctor and would kill the boy if he
didn’t confess to a certain action and say that the man himself did not do it.
The schoolboy’s older brother (one of the Catholic leaders in the local
outstation) advised him to lie saying, "It is better to lie than to die."  So
the boy lied during the investigation of the case.  Later he said that he knew
lying was wrong and against his Christian faith, but he was really afraid.  At
the end the boy expressed deep sorrow at his mistake.
