============================================================

    Then there was the day that I celebrated six sacraments in
one afternoon.  One Easter Sunday the second celebration of the Eucharist
started at 12 Noon in Mehingo Outstation in Iramba Parish in Tanzania.  First we
had the Sacrament of Reconciliation.  During the liturgy the Adult Catechumens
were baptized and confirmed according the RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation of
Adults).  Some couples got married.  Then everyone received the Eucharist.  Now
we were up to five sacraments.

    After the liturgy we had a festive meal highlighted by
joyful songs for the new Christians.  As I was leaving the outstation about 5
p.m., I brought the sacrament of Anointing of the Sick to a bedridden old
woman.  Later someone said:  "Now if you had just ordained the catechist you
would have performed all seven sacraments in one afternoon."
