    In Mwanza,
Tanzania, I was making the rounds visiting the patients at Bugando Hospital. 
Joseph, emaciated from AIDS, held my hand not wanting to let me go.  He had one
request, "Could you please bring me some toothpaste?"  The following day, I
brought him a small tube of dental cream, all I could find at the local store. 
I promised him I’d be back with a larger tube the next day.  But when I
returned, Joseph had died.  I picture him standing before God with a shining
smile.
