============================================================

In Pakeli, Uganda, where I visited a camp for Sudanese refugees, I was offered
what I thought were small beans with rice.  While I was eating the tasty
combination, my host turned to me and commented, "I see that you like
termites!"  On closer inspection, I could see that I had half a plate of fried
termites.  Crunchy and salty, they tasted just fine, but I must confess that I
did leave some for the angels!
