Gunda and his wife, the daughter of Dulye, lived together peacefully in their
marriage but unfortunately they had no children.  In the evening they used to
share together what little food they had.  One evening while at table before
they had finished eating Gunda said to his wife, "Dear, we have had enough to
eat.  Let’s keep the rest for tomorrow."  Then they went to bed.

    During the night while his wife was still sleeping, Gunda got up and ate the
food that was left over in the bowl.  Then without waking his wife he went to
bed and slept soundly until morning. When he woke up he said to his wife, "Dear,
I dreamt that the food left over from last night has turned into clay." Gunda
continued to do this same day after day.  His wife was very surprised and said,
"My husband this is wonderful.  In a short time you will become a famous
Medicine Man who dreams and whose dreams come true."

   
It happened one night when they were both asleep.  As was his custom Gunda got
up so that he could eat secretly at night and then later lie to his wife.  But
that night the daughter of Dulye was not asleep.  She saw her husband eating
secretly, but she did not say anything. 

   
Sometime later the daughter of Dulye happened to wake up at night while her
husband was still asleep.  She secretly ate the food until she was full.  Then
she went to bed silently.  She slept soundly until morning.  When she woke up
she told her husband Gunda, "Dear, I had an astonishing dream last night.  I
dreamt that our food which remained from yesterday has turned to clay."   

    Gunda then
realized that his cunning trick had been discovered.  He became angry and said,
"Woman, go home to your parents.   I don’t want to hear foolish dreams from
people like you."
