Years ago when Mwalimu Julius Nyerere was president of Tanzania he authorized a Msako (a Swahili word that in the particular context referred to an official government investigation into corruption). When the journalists asked him if they should give him a Hongera (a Swahili word that means "congratulations") or a pole (a Swahili word that means "sympathy" or "sorry") Nyerere answered: "Ask me again in one year."
